Victim Economic Council – Victim Advocate
Victim Economic Council is a nonprofit organization sponsored by Community Economic Council, a non-profit 501(c)(3). Victim Economic Council (VEC) was appointed by Community Economic Council (CEC) as a professional citizen advocate and unofficial ombudsman and regulatory public organization. Typical duties of an ombudsman are to investigate complaints and attempt to resolve them, usually through recommendations and mediation. VEC is charged with representing the interests of public by investigating and addressing complaints of maladministration or violation of consumer rights. VEC identifies systematic issues leading to poor service or breaches of peoples’ rights. At a national level, VEC has a wide mandate to deal with the entire public sector with a significant degree of independence.

— We are seeking an Attorney with Experience in Consumer Protection Rights/Laws, Truth In Lending Act and Regulation Z —
Duties will be to review Small Claims Cases for the state of New Jersey. Will report directly to Board of Directors
Must be able to work with our virtual office. (i.e. excellent knowledge and skills with Google, Gmail, Internet, and Online communications)
This is an at-need-basis, pro-bono position.
